2021 $50 GOLD EAGLE T2-AT DUSK AND AT DAWN-NGC MS70-250th COIN STRUCK

This is one of the most limited and exclusive US Mint releases of all time. The final 500 of each Type 1 and the first 500 Type 2 Gold and Silver Eagles were struck by former US Mint director David J. Ryder himself and individually numbered. There was a special ceremony held in mid-2021 which included the legendary. John Mercanti who created the original silver eagle reverse design. This "at dusk and at dawn" ceremony commemorated the first ever design change of two of the most popular bullion and numismatic coins ever and celebrated the 35th anniversary of these coins. NGC was selected by Stack's Bowers Galleries to grade and certify the final 250 of the 1-ounce Type 1 Gold Eagles ever struck and the first 250 of the Type 2 Gold Eagles.
