In 2022 the Royal Canadian Mint released a special issue 1/20thoz. A size typically reserved for bullion products and fractional sets, this is only the 2nd time in Royal Canadian Mint history that 1/20oz gold coin has been issue for collectors. Struck with a Reverse Proof finish this special release was limited to a worldwide mintage of just 5,000 coins.

The maple leaf is tied to some of Canada's proudest achievements. Its first recorded use as a Canadian cultural symbol dates back to 1836, when the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Society adopted the maple leaf as its emblem. Today, the maple leaf is one of the most famous emblems of Canada and can be found on Canadian coins, stamps, military badges, coat of arms, and the Canadian Flag! The reverse designed by Canadian artist Michelle Grant features an arrangement of maple leaves that symbolize Canada's three bordering oceans.

Also included in the obverse design are the inscriptions "CANADA", "10 DOLLARS", "2022" and "MG".
