Type 1 Obverse w/ Queen. NGC MS70 First Day of Issue. 9999 Fine Gold with the Type 1 Obverse featuring the effigy of her highness Queen Elizabeth II still on the Britannia, long after her passing. The Royal Mint had a small number of 2023 Gold and Silver Britannia's already struck at the time of the Queen's passing in September.
Instead of melting them, the Mint allowed a very small group to be released with the 2023 year and Queen's effigy on same coin. Demand was brisk and inventory quickly dwindled.
This Britannia has also been graded a perfect MS70 by NGC with the highly coveted FIRST DAY OF ISSUE pedigree. There are just 41 like this one that exist WORLDWIDE in a perfect 70 with the FDOI pedigree. This is the time to take action as I have just one Britannia in stock. Make it this one and hold onto it!
